What a night! Friendship House’s Concert for a Cause may have had a few unexpected twists thanks to Mother Nature, but that didn’t stop the music—or the community—from shining bright.
First and foremost, we want to give a huge thank you to everyone who stuck it out through the rain with us on Saturday night. The weather may have caused quite the delay, but once the skies cleared, the show went on—and what a show it was! Under the glow of beautiful stage lighting and our brand-new performance setup, Natalie Hemby took the stage and delivered an unforgettable performance that made every drop of rain worth it.
A heartfelt thank-you also goes out to our incredible food and drink vendors who showed up, set up, and served up smiles despite the soggy forecast:
- Cousins Maine Lobster – Chicago, IL
- Chuck’s Wood Fired Pizza
- Polancic’s Meat Market & Tenderloins
- Tangled Roots Brewing Company
- August Hill Winery
- Berta’s Tap
We appreciate your commitment, your good spirits, and your delicious food and drinks that helped make the evening a success.
And of course, none of it would be possible without our sponsors and supporters—the backbone of this event. Your generosity and belief in the mission of Friendship House make moments like these happen.
Finally, to Natalie Hemby—thank you for sharing your incredible gift and bringing your talent to Ottawa. Your music brought warmth to a chilly night and lifted every heart in the crowd.

Despite the weather, it was a night full of connection, community, and compassion. From all of us at Ottawa Friendship House, thank you for making Concert for a Cause one to remember. Here’s to many more music-filled nights that make a difference—rain or shine.
