Types of Housing

Friendship's Main Campus
Our Main Campus serves as the heart of Friendship House, providing central access to day programming, community activities, and support services. Residents benefit from a strong sense of community and easy access to all of the resources Ottawa Friendship House offers.
Semi-Independent Residential
Designed for individuals seeking to strengthen life skills while maintaining a degree of independence, our Semi-Independent Residential homes offer structured support in a home-like setting. Residents are encouraged to make choices, participate in household responsibilities, and engage in the community while receiving guidance as needed.
Beth Mangold House
The Beth Mangold House provides a supportive, comfortable living environment where residents can thrive socially and personally. Staff focus on fostering independence, life skills, and a strong sense of belonging for each individual.
Glenwood House
The Glenwood House is designed to create a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere, with residents receiving personalized support tailored to their abilities and goals. The home emphasizes community engagement and meaningful daily routines.
McCormick House
Named in honor of Jane McCormick, the McCormick House offers residents a place to grow, learn, and participate fully in daily life. The home balances independence with compassionate support, empowering residents to reach their personal potential.
Sullivan House
The Sullivan House provides a welcoming, home-like environment where residents are encouraged to develop skills, build friendships, and enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle. The staff work closely with each individual to ensure their needs, goals, and aspirations are at the center of care.
Cherokee House
Cherokee House is our first ICILA (Intermittent Community Integrated Living Arrangements) home and an exciting step forward in expanding independent living opportunities. Home to three individuals, Cherokee House is designed to promote independence, choice, and dignity, while still offering a hands-on, supportive approach when needed. Residents are encouraged to build daily living skills, make decisions about their routines, and engage in their community, all within a safe and supportive environment. This home reflects our commitment to creating spaces where individuals can live more independently while knowing support is always close by.
